Whoopsie! Do you ever have huge plans for the day, then find yourself on the couch, yet again? There are things you think you should be doing, but they require effort and why put in the work when you can just hang out at home?

At some time or another, we all lack motivation. We fill our to-do lists with things for the day, but find ourselves in front of the TV instead, unwilling to move. Procrastination becomes our best friend; we say, “oh I’ll get to that later,” and the next thing we know it’s dinner time and all we’ve done is waste the day and leave that to-do list incomplete.

But, what’s important is that you don’t allow yourself to fall into this cycle. It can be difficult to re-motivate yourself if you’re not confident in your abilities, not focused on your goals, or lack direction. Motivation is the best energy, and once you get into the groove, the more energized and eager to power through the day you become.

If you’re stuck in a slump, look around you at everything you do have going right in your life. Instead of taking the pessimistic way out, focus on the things you have to be grateful for: a roof over your head, food on the table, bills paid, whatever it may be. If you’re angry or upset that things aren’t happening in the way that you’d like, be angry or upset. Let those emotions fuel you into action.

And then, get off the couch.

The more you turn your words into actions, the more motivated you’ll become to do more things. Go out and do. Your goals won’t achieve themselves.

Check out today’s video, where I break down the best ways to motivate yourself and achieve your goals.

As always, I’d love to hear from you. After you watch the video, let me know in the comments down below how you motivate yourself. What are some ways you get yourself going? Join the conversation, and let’s motivate each other to be the best that we can be.

Always remember, you can do it.
